After exploring diving and dancing I joined and graduated from the Palucca Schule Dresden - University of Dance. As a professional dancer I worked with a range of established and independent choreographers and companies, such as En knapp (SLO), Galilie Dance (NL) and Dorky Park (G). For several years I was a company member of Wim Vandekeybus dance company Ultima Vez (BE) and the Tiotiá:ke/ Montreal based dance company Van Grimde Corps Secrets (CAN). Both companies represented my interest in strong physicality, theatrical work and most important interdisciplinary work.
After more than 10 years away from Germany I moved to Berlin and started collaborating as a dancer, performer and choreographer with various theatre directors, musicians and video artists such as Kay Voges, Corinne Maier, Xavier Le Roy, Armin Petras, Schorsch Kamerun, Anna Frick, Rebecca Riedel, Laurent Chetouane and Miles Perkin. It's been also the starting point of continuously exploring the relationship between movement - text - social framing - performative settings - improvisation & structure. Working as achoreographer and performer in diverse collaborative settings, I developed an artistic practice that values and places interdisciplinary cooperation at its core.
Next to my artistic activities I teach contemporary dance technique, improvisation, partnering as well as somatic movement training for actors, performers and singers and guide creative processes. In 2011 I earned a masters degree in Contemporary Dance Education (MA CoDE) at the HfMDK FFM where the main focus of my research was on co- authorship, self-directed learning, collective composing and instant composition in the performance setting. This remains a continuous field of exchange and exploration for me. I hold a Professorship for Contemporary Dance Practice in Artistic Context at the Cologne University of Music and Dance. I'm a Feldenkrais Practitioner in Education and a certified Transformation Manager for Sustainable Culture.
I’m based with my family in Berlin.
