I’m a choreographer, performer and teacher in the field of contemporary dance, theatre and performance.

Born in the former GDR as a daughter of a professional boxer I encountered movement in its extreme form at an early age. After exploring diving and dancing I joined and graduated at the Palucca Schule Dresden  - University of Dance. During the first year of my education the Berlin wall fell and a new landscape in the dance world opened up for me while studying in this program routed in German expressionist dance, classical ballet and folk dance. These circumstances planted fruitful seeds for an artistic life between exploration and structure.

As a professional dancer I was for several years a member of Wim Vandekeybus dance company Ultima Vez and the Montreal based dance company Van Grimde Corps Secrets. Both companies represented my interest in strong physicality and theatrical work.

After 10 years away from Germany I moved to Berlin and met the well known German Theatre director Armin Petras. This was the beginning of continuous work with various theatre directors and the starting point of exploring the relationship between movement - text - social framing - performative settings. Working as a choreographer and performer in diverse collaborative settings, I developed an artistic practice that places cooperation and interdisciplinary work at its core.

Next to my artistic activities, I teach contemporary dance technique, improvisation and composition as well us movement training for actors, performers and singers. In 2011 I earned a masters degree in Contemporary Dance Education (MA CoDE) at the HfMDK FFM where the main focus of my studies was on co- authorship, collective frameworks and improvisation in the performance setting. This remains continuous field of exchange and exploration for me.

I’m based in Berlin with my family.
